MORTGAGE VICTIMS FIGHT FORECLOSURE WITH POPCORN
Outdoor Brooklyn film Screening of 'Subprimed' with free popcorn.
In an effort to raise awareness to help avoid sub-prime/predatory lending schemes, filmmakers and victims team together to present an outdoor screening of the documentary in front of the houses they struggle to hold on to.
When: Saturday the 22nd, 7pm

Subprimed chosen to screen at Brooklyn Arts Council Film Festival
“Subprimed” has been chosen to screen as a part of Scene: Brooklyn, presented by the Brooklyn Arts Council Film Festival
It will be screened on Tuesday May 5 at Galapagos Art Space (16 Main Street in DUMBO Brooklyn) at 7 pm as part of a program focusing on current issues facing Brooklyn.

April Newbauer, Attorney-in-Charge, Civil Division, Queens Neighborhood Office, Legal Aid Society of New York City, discusses the crisis' impact on tenants of foreclosed buildings
Josh Zinner, Co-Director, Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project (NEDAP), discusses the disparate impact of the sub-prime mortgage/foreclosure crisis on communities of color
